Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Muscat

You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient Smart Travel & Tourism chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel. Day 2

Royal Opera house-Grand Mosque-Nakhal Fort & Hot Spring-Wadi Bani Awf-Bilad Sayt-Al Hamrah (Top, Photostop)

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8h30 AM to start a wonderful day through the mountain range. You will be met at the hotel for a full day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East and Royal Opera house. Later visit of Nakhal Fort, this 17th Century Fort has some stunning views from the battlements which shows just what a prime position this fort use to command and is really worth the climb.

The track to Wadi Bani Awf is a stunning, exhilarating trip over the mountains. Deep in Oman’s countryside are many villages that still retain their traditional charm. Perhaps the most appealing of these is Bilad Sayt, a tranquil mountain hamlet tucked away in the mountains. The road or should I say track is steep to go on the other side but worth the trip. Al Hamra to see one of the oldest villages of this region. The traditional mud houses dated back from 400 years are still occupied. Day 3

Friday Animal souq-Nizwa Souq- Nizwa Fort-Misfat Al Abryeen-Al Hamra old village-Jabel Shams-Grand Canyon

Morning visit the powerful Fort with itsmassive Circular Cannon tower. one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Friday Cattle Market (Souq).Your next stop will be, Misfat Al Abreen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars. Day 4

Nizwa – Wahiba

Morning drive to Wahiba sands, via Birkat A Mauz and Ibra. Wahiba sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. After some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all. Evening watch spectacular sunset from top of the dunes. Day 5

Wahiba – Sur

Your first destination is Wadi Bani Khalid – an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis inOman and its pools with clear deep blue water give you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip. Enjoy the ambiance of the Wadi. Then drive toyou visit fishing town of Sur, the eastern most town on the Arabian Peninsula, where until recently the famous Omani Dhows were built. Dhow building in Sur dates back centuries and is closely linked with the maritime heritage of Oman. From Sur too, in the old days, the Omanis were sailing the seas, mainly to India. After an early dinner you will visit the turtle sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz, where at night the Green Turtles, after a journey of thousands of kilometres will come ashore to lay their eggs. You then return to Hotel. Overnight in Turtle beach Resort Ras Al Hadd/ Sur (B,D)

Day 6

Sur –Quriat-Qalhat-Muscat

Morning after Breakfast first visit the Sineslah Fort. The ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb can be seen at the village of Qalhat on coastal road to Muscat. Stop at Fins beach. Our next stop is the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue water or fleet footed Gazelle sprint across the landscape.Proceed to Wadi Arbayeen which has refreshing deep pools of water set among the date palms.

Once you arrive in Muscat we visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items. Overnight Muscat Hotel.

Day 7

Departure Transfer

Departure transfers to Airport to connect the flight back home.

If quoted hotel for the tour will not be confirmed alternative hotel will be used and either supplement or reduction will apply.

Less than 25 Days in advance : 50% of the total amount

Less than 15 Days in advance: 70% of the total amount

Less than 10 Days in advance : 100% of the total amount
